How much is this car worth?

Hey Guys,

I originally had a FD, but I'm looking to purchase a FC turbo right now. What kind of things should I look out for? And are 89-92's really much better than pre 88's?

I'm checking this car out in particular. How much do you guys think I should pay for this car? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

S4= 86-88
S5= 89-91
Wow, that's a good turbo car. I'd say go for the S4, the S5's have a few more horsepower, but you can barely notice it. Plus mazda did alot of cost cutting on the S5 and made it heavier.

S5 are FC's made from 1989-1991. Some people prefer them over S4's but most like S4's better, it all depends on what you like. That car looks like its in great shape, id pay whatever the owner is asking unless its a retarded ammount. Make sure that the motor is broke in right though. Im not sure but I think it takes more than 1k miles to break in a new engine.

Oh, why is that intake black? I thought they were normally silver with Turbo II written on them?

S4s are better built for the most part.
Looks like a nice car though, i like the mods he did.. good stuff. No idea on value since its so modified its at the point of being worth as much as its worth to the buyer. Looks like it comes with a pretty nice stereo too.

My FD was a headache, but I was too friendly with the boost control =P

value is hard to guage, my fc has about 3.5k in it, but i wouldnt sell it for 10k, its up to the seller and the buyer when it comes down to it, i never liked going by book yalues or appraisal values

haha what can i say, i'm a noob =)

Are belts, bushings, and trailing arms a problem with a car of this high miles 130K?

Again, the stock bushings SUCK on the FD and my trailing arms busted too.

no they're not usually

your car should be fine its pretty much new as the engine is what needs to be rebuilt at 1**,000 miles usually around then just don't over boost it and starve it of food or since your a newb just leave it alone and yea =]

The intercooler just looks like an aftermarket one, looks a bit thicker than stock but then again i've never seen a stock one off the car.

Yeah, thats what I though too, but I'm not super familiar with what they look like. Ask the owner about the intercooler.

If Body Is In Good Condtion You Really Want To Pay 5 Grand. The Rebuild Alone Is Worth 2--3 Grand. Looks Like You Really Came Up. Where Is This Car Located?

What's so bad about a stock ECU? How much would a reflash or a aftermarket ECU cost?

Like Power FC?
