How much boost on stock secondaries?

This may have been asked a million times already but my search did not find a difinitive answer.

91 TII (S5) just got it

Asuming an upgraded turbo, full engine management system (tuned of course), rebuilt streetported motor, and rewired walboro fuel pump.

What is the consesous on how much boost the stock secondaries can support?

The stock secondaries are 550cc right?

What are the other avaliable injectors and what boost can they support?

Where do you source them? I have seen that many people have 720cc?

First off, a upgraded tubo will outrun your stock injectors.

Secondly if you go with a EMS just buy 1600cc secondaries. Of course you will then need a new secondary fuel rail and a FPR

I think 250 hp is about the limit on the 550's. FD's come stock with 850 secondaries and they are 255 hp

Are 1600cc and thus new fuel rail realy necessary? I would prefer to try and just update the injectors and FPR. Where is some of this avaliable?

You don't need a new fuel rail for 1600cc's. You can mod the injector to fit the FC fuel rails. If you also want to get an aftermarket FPR, then get an S4 rail and tap it for AN fittings.

My goal is roughly 250, HIGHLY RELIABLE, RWHP. I don't need a 400hp barnburner. Though I am no fixated on an exact HP level. Just learning at this point.

Would you guys recomend just rebuilding the stock turbo to achive those levels?

I was interested In the rebilt turbo with the T04 upgrade....

250rwhp is do-able on the stock turbo @ ~14psi. If you're on the stock ECU, I wouldn't recommend anything other than a stock turbo.

I plan on going MicroTech or Wolf3D. And whatever injectors are recomended for that kind of power. I had thought 12psi would be where I would want to end up for engine reliability with full RB exhaust and intake. Question is what secondaries to run with that setup.

Assuming stock fuel rail pressures, 250hp at the wheels (DynoJet) will be above 90%+ on the pulsewidths on the stock 4x550's.
This is not considered safe.

I would get 4x720cc injectors with an SAFC if you're gonna be on the stock ECU for awhile. If you have a stand-alone EMS, just get (2) 720cc injectors to use as secondaries.
