true! normal combustion pressures on a is like 250psi, detonation is like 10 times more powerful than that.

the engine will handle a little detonation here and there, but anything significant will break something.

base width means the MINIMUM width of your rotor housing, too, not just any old point around the trochoid.

Are you building this engine yourself? If so, you'd better be doing a lot of research on how to do it or you're likely to run into expensive mistakes.

 

No. Im not doing the build myself but its good to know stuff like this anyway. So i can ask my builder more tech questions rather than "can you make my motor run good?" LOl
