How much boost can the stock tmic stand?
Hey Rich, I would say that 10psi would be good. I am sure that there are many people who run more, but I would not reccomend it. On a hot day even at 10 psi intake temps can get crazily high. There may be ways to get around it, but if you plan on running more boost a FMIC should be in order. A good rule of thumb is no more than 10psi on the stock top mount, and no more than 12psi on the stock turbo.
Hope this helps!

you will notice power loss from the tmic. If the intake temps get too high you will notice really low vaccume and apex seals comming out the exhaust.
Get a fmic, ebay cores go for $100 or so and then piping kits are $100 or so. I made a thread a few months ago about making a cutsom fmic for 450 total, but the prices have come down alot since then.

no.
it will "make it"
but why does the hybrid make more power?
it moves more air, right?
so that 10psi that the stock turbo is good for isnt raelly good for the hybrid at 10psi, is it???????
ok, my friend gave me one of the intercoolers from like a 95 or so twin turbo supra, theyre supposed to be good for like 400 and they are super thick. Im going to get some piping and fab up a kit, Ill let you know how this goes.
