How to Mod your stock airbox to flow better
That cover you have between your radiator and the front bumper has eliminated the path for air to get to the airbox. Not sure why you did that, but I would remove it and put the stock plastic back in.
When you complete this project let us know how the ribless air box works when you finish. Also what about removing the divider in the lid where the snorkle attaches to the airbox. I know it is small but it has to create a bit of turbulence in the air flow.

I got to run by the shop tomorrow (also known as work) to remedy a few electrical problems I am having (I specialize in auto electrical), but I may stick around and go ahead and mod the snot out of my airbox...or maybe even build something new, I am not sure yet.
If I don't go to the shop, that means I woke up and my wife has other plans for me or, I am so tired of being there I just don't go, we'll see.
