bought one with a blown coolant seal at 114K. You know that part that the pressure cap screws into on top of the water pump housing? Someone replaced that with one that didn't have a tube for the over flow bottle. There wasn't a pressure cap on the radiator, so the pressure built up inside the block and blew the seal.

before i owned mine it blew a coolant seal at about 95k, i cant say much for how the car was maintined and such for that period as im third owner and most of those miles were done by the first owner. if well maintained 200k if pretty common on a stock n/a.

mine is at 155K+ miles right now and still runs like a champ. I know it will run well voer 200K cause im using 2 stroke oil so i will have WAY less carbon built up then the OMP users. I have overheated my engine abuot 10 times for diff reasons. everything still works. The ONLY thing i see getting warn are my oil seals. I get smoke on a highrpm decell. but nothing horrible. eventually im sure its time will come with the oil seals. but the engien wont blow

I'm at almost 114,xxx and I still pull 100 rear, 110 front for compression. I only get some reaking fuel smoke at startup (revving to 3k before shutting down helps this), but other then that she doesn't burn any fluids that aren't supposed to be burned, and it pulls hard.

After switching to premix, I did notice it became overall smoother in operation, and now I can switch to synthetic when I finish blocking the OMP off. I hope to get this thing past the 200k mark.

well, i have 180k miles on it and i kick its *** every day. i rev it hard, and i drive it hard, but thgen again i dont keep it up at redline all the time. compressions seems to be pretty well. i was getting around 90 psi when it was cold so it should be even more when warmed up.

I bought mine with 147309 miles on it with a broken speedometer still to this day. I'd say I put at least 10,000 miles and it still runs strong. It all depends on how you treat the car, with respect or with a passion to smoke the hell out of the F@#king civic nation.

172589 still ran strong just smoked a little on start up and flooded on occasion. I can really tell the difference in the power, she was tired

Previous owner of my car had the engine replaced at 81k because, as the diagnostic paper says, "It was melting the rear bumper". She would shut it off during the cold start assist, never redlined it, etc. Basically, she didn't know how to drive or take care of a rotary... I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

199,xxx orginal mileage on my 89 GTU, i probably redline it once in a while to keep things going, no signs of weakness still going strong. keeping a strict maintenance schedule really helps.
