How long on rebuild?

Thinking about rebuilding... wondering about reliability of it.

Mines has about 90K on the rebuild. Although I have no idea what seals were used. Probably OEM stuff again. I'll be rebuilding the engine soon though, but with Atkin seals.

which one??

daily driver hit 80K - no issues at all
have done many for friends etc, not a one has an issue.

Do the rebuild - just make sure to do it right, dont cut corners on marginal parts

looks like I'll go ahead with it then.... the car I'm looking at has 165,000 miles on it. I'm told that it runs, but smokes and makes metal sounds like a thrown rod... but there is no rod haha. Its at a dealer down the street from me... Said I could have it for $200, i think its a GTU... definatly an '88...

i have the re man and no problems at 50,000 hard driven miles (200 passes at the strip on it)
