How to lift a TurboII?
What's the best way to jack up the front of a TurboII (don't know if it's any diff then the NAs) to put jack stands in? I couldn't find anything substancial looking in the front middle.

I don't understand. You don't have that very large crossmember just in front of the engine? I use that with a block of wood b/t the floor jack and the crossmember. I probably misunderstood the question(again).

Is it beneath (or above I guess) that plastic shield? so I would have to take the shield off before jacking it up.
also, does anyone know why that shield is there, can I just get rid of it?

That's something I could never understand! How could putting an air barrier under the engine such as a plastic shield, make it run cooler? Seems like it would do the opposite?
