how lean can you go during low throddle?

how lean can you go during low throddle?

i have my high throddle settings correct, but i have heard thet you can almost go as lean as you want on low throddle, is this true? any suggestions guys?

It's true to a point. I'll often tune cars to 15:1 or so during cruise. On an NA it's fine, though NOX emissions go through the roof. On a turbo car, you risk melting the turbine wheel...

MELTING??? the turbine wheel??
wow, that be interesting to see.
what would you say is "about right" then for a turbo during cruise?

During cruise the car should be in closed looop, so 14.7 it is.

thats kinda funny, my car cruises at 15.1-16.-1 on a stock computer. i thought that was weird. i will be retuning once the LT10s goes in.

THROTTLE.

... Throddle: The gas pedal on a toddler's toy car.

As long as you're below atmospheric pressure, the chances of detonation are very, very low. So, it comes down to other factors. On a NA, the major factor is "How lean will it run?" For a turbo, as mentioned above, keeping the turbine wheel a solid is an important factor as well.
