How to know if our engine is getting proper OIL INJECTIONS?
I know my ROTARY needs OIL to lube the apex seal and this is SO VITAL to engine life. But HOW do you know if this system is working properly? One of those spray nosels could easily be plugged up right? And those little clear tubes that carry the oil to the nozzles, they could have sprung a leak somewhere as well. How do you guys CHECK THOSE THINGS?
Just do what the factory service manual says to do. Pull the injector out and blow at the nipple thru the other end. Should pass air. Now suck at the nipple(practice with your girl). You should not suck air. Now you know the injectors are good. Then you check the pump itself. Pull the two housing lines off. Hook up two replacement lines and put their ends in a container. Start the engine. Hold at 2000rpm while holding the pump rod at its maximum. Do that for 5minutes. Measure the results and compare the results as shown in the lubrication section of the factory service manual that is free somewhere on the internet. Thats how you tell if they work. Piece of cake. The two that are for the housing are the two fwd ones.
