They supply LOX and other gasses to most aviation companies.
They also supply shielding gases used in welding.

I really need to get both of these on the flowbench. I have an S5 afm but don't have an S4 one lying around. Once I get one I'll test them. Looking at the shape of the S5 afm, it should have less turbulence through it at any level of part opening. It is shaped very smoothly inside. The S4 flapper door is not, especially at part opening. Full open is what everyone seems so concerned with.

Full open on the AFM is not attained, some people are probably thinking about WOT, but at WOT even at high RPM, it takes a lot of mods and porting to get that AFM full open :p

Not really. I don't really thing there's going to be that much difference between them on the flow bench, so on a complete engine I think you'll have difficulty seeing any meaningful difference. Try if if you want, but I think rotarygod's flowbench is a much better idea.

Mazda swapped to a type of AFM that's much cheaper to make and also has a much more linear output.

at any rate, we will never know until both are bench flow tested. the rest is just speculation.

NZ: It will notice even a milimetre of extra airflow, It is VERY sensitive :O I've tested it before

RotaryGod: If you pay shipping to and back, I will send you an S4 AFM to flowbench test.

I'll get ahold of one from one of the local club guys. I need to go built the adapters to mount them to the bench to make the tests even.
