You get ONE overheat in an RX-7
Fix it to be sure. It should be OK, but 3/4 is up there... maybe around 230+ degrees

If your motor is strong, it can probably handle somewhere near the 95* range. Avoid boiling at all costs (I invested in AAA Gold!).

Your fine..you got it in time.
I had the same thing happen, but it was because I didn't hit the switch on my Efan.
I caught it at 230 degrees..it overflowed slightly and I was freaking out..
BUT the engine is STILL In the car 2 years later and runs like a top.

Replace the highlighted placeholders with real data and you'll get more informed answers.

95C is less than boiling, and boiling is 212F... hardly anything to panic about.

its been my experience that if there is water in the engine, can actually handle an overheat pretty well, 110c, which is the H line on the gauge is not great, but usually survivable.

blowing a hose though, is harder on things, and it just depends on how fresh the engine is.

BTW if you doubt how important the cooling system maintenance really is, watch top gear, every car that dies, dies from cooling system problems

Heater core hose blew. The coolant that was left was boiling in the housings. Their was no coolant in radiator to overflow! Drove her 40 miles she ran great. Burned all the carbon off? Dont know. But she runs better. And cooler.
