How hot does your NA run?
Mine runs normally at about 25% up the temp gauge, and gets to around 45% during really hard driving at sustained high rpms, or on long trips (300kms) on hot days, at around 2500 rpms in fifth. Is that normal, or should it never really get hotter than 25%, or what?
My friend's FC runs at around 50% the entire time, regardless of hard driving or not.

Most S4's run at about 1/4. Hard driving shouldn't raise this temp unless the cooling system has problems. Make sure everything's in good condition. Check the coolant, radiator, thermostat, belts, etc.

My S4 N/A pretty much ran a consistent 1/2 to 3/4 on the temp gauge. I have a feeling there was something wrong with the gauge though, because it's always run around that level according to my step-dad (original owner of the car). Who knows though, we'll see after the T2 conversion is done, lol
Edit: And that was even after a new water pump, thermostat (OEM), hoses, coolant, Fluidyne radiator, and electric fan).

after replacing my rad, rad caps and hoses, it ran hotter than before. turned out to be a slipping fan clutch which Cartek pinned, now runs about 1/4 and AC is much colder too. gets to just below 1/2 in 95 degree Florida weather in bumper to bumber traffic with AC on which is understandable
well since someone backed up in to me it fucked my front bumper and at high speeds /i think it creates a vacum or something because after 85mph the temp gauge goes up to 3/4 and comes down after I slow down and my fan is about to be electric because it has side to side play in it
