How the hell do you get the hub off?

Removed the nut...after this it's my experience that a few knocks with a hammer and what not will loosen the hub. This isn't working. Any ideas?

Front or rear? The front should come right off just pulling it with your hands. The front bearings are not a press fit (tight) onto the spindles. You do have the calipers off, right?

If he's trying to remove the front hub from the spindle, no special tools are required. But since I don't know if he's talking about the front or the back, I dunno!

to remove the rear wheel studs you can knock them off and put new ones in without taking off the hub.
