How do you stop a vert from leaking?
I know; buy a hardtop. HA HA... seriously, I get a little tired of drying the carpet, and smelling mildew. My top is in good shape, but it still leaks. I'm wondering if there is a treatment of some kind to put on them. TIA

More than likely its seepage around things like the window seals, and the seals on the top itself.
and you don't need to buy a hardtop to fix the leak....just build a garage and always park it inside
edit: BY hardtop I mean coupe.....I think thats what the OP was getting at........

okay i was waiting for this question.after i installed my new top i was still getting puddles behind the seats.well after some through insp i could see how debri collects in that lil pocket where the drain hose is located .cleaning it help a liltle but i still got some water in. so i bought loctite weatherstriping adhesive (black) and place it around the outer part of the drain hose.let it dry next day repeated it.this product basically goes on like a liquid so when it dries it got into all the lil crevicesaround the drain.easiest way to apply this is when the top is half way downthat way u can get in there.once this stuff dries it becomes part of the canvass it hasnt leaked since from that area.it later starte leaking from the window where the lil cup catches the waterand it drains outthe wheatersstripping.you have to angle the cup the rite way/angle and apply the loctite adhesive to hold it in plce .

why don't you just replace the seals... it is usually less than $200 for the targa and rear seal (the two most common places where it leaks)
