How do you launch your FC?
I was wondering how you guys launch of 7's. How have you guys gotten your best 60ft times? Dump the hell out of the clutch, slip it?
I been trying some different things but not at the track and I can't really tell what way is faster.

check out my signature. I had a Centerforce clutch (POS), I just put in a ACT. I'm still breaking it in. I had 2.3 60ft with stock radials when the centerforce was new, but I never got close to that with drag radial after the clutch went bad.

I have a TII with a 6 puck and i usually rev it up to about 5 and dump it....i spin the tires quite a bit though. I've found usually the best launches come from letting is slip a lil then dumpin it so that the tires hook up before they go. I have no times either though, but i did hold a WRX on the launch with this method.

get yourself some nice drag radials, rev to about 4500, drop the clutch and go full throttle at the same time. 1st gear will go fast, dont take your foot off the gas, push in the clutch, the revs will go high and hit the rev limiter, shift into 2nd while this is happening, drop the clutch again. If your tires hook up, you will have a great 60'. But this all depends on your tires and power. If you have cheap tires and quite a bit of power, you will spin through all of 1st and 2nd. But if you have good drag radials. yeah..

Well, I hooked up a big rubber band to the time bilboard at Cecil County and then retched out the widow and grabbed the starter dude by the ***** and let go when the 3rd yellow light came on... that got me a 1.3 60 foot time!!!!!!!!
ya'll hate me now Don't ya!!!
Seriously, I always get stuck in the right lane down there, so i have to hold the E-Brake so the car don't roll through the lights, but I hold 4.5k and do the slip dump method. I used to nail 2.1 and around 15.2 all the time with my GTU and an ACT street/strip.. but the TII had a dying clutch all last year and I could never get it to hook up.... always be hitting 2.6 or 2.8 at...... 14.8 and that sucks dog for a TII.

on my s4 na i would have to rev to about 5k and feather the clutch but with my s5 na i rev between 5k and 6k and dump the clutch. feathering the clutch is just letting it out maybe halfway or more but not all the way. its hard to explain bc its such a fast action...but basicly you rev the engine, let the clutch out a ways then youll know when its all hooked up and your car is good and launched and you let the clutch out the whole way then get ready to shift again. it took some practice but definitly made the car launch.

I have yet to hiot a dragstrip, but I seem to get the best results from about a 5K slip. Any more and the tires go up in smoke. Any less and it just wants to bog. So far, I have about 10K on my Centerforce dual-friction clutch and it's holding. (Cross fingers)

I would rev to around 4K and drop the clutch while flooring it........I had very little wheelspin........Go out and try it until you find what you like.
