How do you adjust the clutch point to start ignition?

Everytime I start my car I have to push the clutch in super hard to start the car.

can i either
A) adjust that position?
or
B) pull out a fuse so you dont have to push the clutch in?

thanks

its called the neutral safty switch you can disconnect it and the adjust ment screw is under the dash by the top of the clutch pedal

it could also be your floor mate restricting your clutch going all the way down try pulling it back towards the seat more

The Clutch Interlock switch is at the VERY top of the clutch pedal.

First, ask yourself THIS: When I press the clutch in and go to START, do I hear a click or clack each and every time I do this?????

IF that is the case, that you do hear the click as you go to START, then it ain't the Interlock switch. The click you hear is the STARTER SOLENOID. IF it clicks, then the Interlock switch is working.

Just prove it. Go to the Interlock switch and disconnect it's two wire electrical plug. Now on the harness side of that plug, jumper the two sockets. If you do that the Interlock Switch is bypassed. Now just go to START without pushing the pedal.

Still just clicks? Most likely it does. Proving your problem is not the interlock switch.

And I think he is mistaken. I think the switch is making and has been making all the time. And I think it is not the interlock switch at all but another thing all together.

A lot of I's in the above, but that's what I think. If I'm wrong, big deal. Been wrong before.

well, bypass the clutch safety switch and see if it affects the problem.

ya, i bypassed my CIS, i like it cause i can start my car without being in it. i dont like the cold, im from texas and living in CA, so, i start my ****, let it warm up (which is good the car in general) and i go back to bed, let it warm up, then leave the house.
and, sometime bypassing it does allow easier start up, due to fucked up clutches or w/e.
just giving my 2 cents.

peace
