check the haynes manual. Use an OHM tester and check the resistance and compare that with the values in the book. IM getting mines cleaned this week, maybe you should do the same, this way you make sure they are in running order when u get em back with new orings and grommets =)

What exactly do you mean by "performing properly"? Opening and closing? Flowing high enough? Etc?

The best way is to send them to somebody like witch hunter or something. But, quick and dirty way is to apply voltage (see fsm for the proper voltage, I think they are 12v) and hear if they click. I've only done this to injectors I didn't care about, so somebody smarter than me should chime in to see if thats safe.

injectors

I just changed my 4 injectors and fuel filter last week-enf. Ordered my parts from rockauto. New fram fuel filter and 4 remanufactured injectors for my 88 N/A set me back about 168$ including 40$ core charges for the 4 injectors. That will be reimbursed when they receive the cores. My motor finally idles smooth and revs without hesitation. Total removal and install time about 4 hours for the injectors and about 2 hours for the fuel filter since I had to remove the cross member to get to it. (Convertible has an extra cross member)
