How do I take out the pinion gear?

How do I remover the pinion gear in a second gen differential. I have two of them all apart except for that gear and I need it out before I can start butchering them.

Thanks
Sean

Uh. Not to **** in your coffee, but it takes a hammer. Are you sure you know how to put them back together the RIGHT way so that the pinion and ring gear dont eat each other in 2 miles of driving?
