How do I identify engine wiring harness

Ok I bought my "complete project car" thats got too many mixxed up parts, its an 86 was told with an 88 jdm t2 motor, When i pulled the injectors out it says 1370 (which I found as 86-87 | 13B T | low imp | square | center | 550cc | tan | 195500-1370. When i got the car the last owner told me he couldnt get spark, Would this cause it, and how on earth can i identify the wiring harness. Thanks in advance

Look at the plugs that go on the fuel injectors. Look in the center of the plugs where they mate with the injectors jack. There is a cutout for the TAB on the injectors jack.

Is the cutout in the center of the electrical plug or is it offset from the center? If offset then it's not a series four low impedence harness.

Also. Under the airfilter, about a foot below it, there should be a aluminum covered device called a Solneoid Resistor. It's about five inches long, a inch and a half wide and has one large electrical plug on it. If that device is there and the harness is connected, then you have a series four low impedence harness such as a 86 harness to early 87 harness.

Do you have one of these devices in the jpg attached to the chassis with two bolts, about a foot below the afm and airfilter?

If not, does the harness have a male electrical plug about the size of the female shown in the jpg and is it just not connected to anything?

And if the harness is in the car and all connected up, does one of the two wires at EACH injector plug have battery voltage on it?

Is one of the two wires going to each injector plug a black/yellow wire? IF it is, then it is a series five high impedence harness or late 87 1/2 harness one.

Look at the alternators small, two wire plug on the back of the alternator. Is that plug a part of the same harness that feeds the fuel injectors? Or part of another harness.
