do you know how to hook up the timing light? After that you just loosen the crank angle sensor nut..and turn the CAS to retard or advance your timing. If you not sure on how to hook up the light i can transfer what is says in the factory service manual to you.

hmmm...alot of times when the marks start to wear..people will make a mark in it with a chisel...nothing like that? its not all that bad really...i think that the yellow one is so many inches...centimeters...from the red mark...maybe someone can check for ya and u can make a reference mark..

not take it out...but loosen the nut the holds the CAS in place..its a 10mm i believe. I believe its clockwise to advance it...be careful about advances it to far...not want any detonation.

if thats your only option (your missing your yellow mark correct?)...then yes go for it..but id go in small incriments and be very cautious..someone else might be able to to clarify...but i think you need to jump the initial set b/c the ecu will just reset the timing...i might be wrong though..
