Are you referring to installing a cone filter? If your car is an 86-88, youll need to remove the airbox, and unbolt the air flow meter. Youll then use the 4 hole left from unbolting your airbox to bolt on an intake adapter. Youll then put the filter and tighten it down.

If you have an 89-91, youll just take out and toss the airbox, and bolt on the filter.

you need to buy an adapter to fit on the AFM.

That bonez kit is way over priced. Buy an adapter kit off ebay (20$) and throw away the filter it comes with. Now go buy a cone K&N filter.

Yep 3" ;o)

It does not looks so smooth like HKS 2,75" but its only aluminium so its really easy to give it mirror-look if u want to

I tried removing the airbox and all that stuff, but theres so many hoses and stuff, anyone got any pics like was asked? thanks

This is a really old pic of my engine bay. The small hose going to the air box can be capped with nylon leggings or a little filter of some kind.

Mine's also a 3" but I welded it up out of steel.

ive read that some filters are oil based. ive come to understand that the oil based filters tend to leave deposits on the internals of the intake, causing problems down the road. is this something that others have experienced??
