How did everyone hook up there A/F gauge?

How did everyone hook up there A/F gauge?

I am going to hook up my autometer a/f ratio gauge in a couple of days, and want to know how to do it.....any hlep would be appreciated.

When i installed mine, I ran a line out to the 02 Sensor. I also tapped into my radio power line and ran a ground out to the negative battery terminal. I began having problems with my O2 sensor maybe 3 months after i installed the gauge. So i'd recommend you running the 02 signal wire directly to the ECU instead of running it to the sensor itsetlf, it will decrease the risk of having the wire short out or become faulty... just trying to past on the lesson i learned the hardway...

That's the way to do it. The wire in the engine bay is shielded; that is it has a layer of braided wire surrounding (but insulated from) the signal wire. One end of the shield is grounded. This protects the signal from EMI (elctromagnetic interference) that would affect it. If you tap into this wire, it's difficult not to tap into the braid as well, effectively earthing the signal wire and killing the signal.
