A lot of people replace the lines from the tank all the way forward, mostly to increase supply capabilities over the stock 5/16th size. I've also seen some people just push the SS line over the original hardline and clamp it with a worm style hose clamp just like the original setup, I never did like that method though, but I've never seen any bad effects from doing it that.

What fuel pressure are the stock 5/16 lines good up to?

Check-out this Earls adapter. It's a clean solution but note the compression fitting is only rated to 50psi max.

I'll be using it to 60psi max and cross my fingers.

clamp bare 6AN line (no fittings) to the factory hardline. It's not pretty, but nobody will see it and it works.

" 'a' and 'n' fitting. "

AN dumbass. JUST SAY 'A' followed by 'N"

It's called a ferrule....not a tube/sleeve thingy.

The hardware store must hate that guy when he needs hardlines cut for ****.

Yeah, i need this ***** adapter for a vagina adapter and this sleeve thing....we'll call it the tubing cockring because i have no idea what it's called......

Christ.

Oh, that's your video isn't it?

Sorry.......

It's unclear how that video is relevant. Presumably it's being suggested that -5 hardline should be flared normally and -6 AN fittings/ferrule be attached. I've heard of this working, however it seems like a bad idea for something as critical as a high pressure fuel line. And the fact that this numbnutz newb is doing it make it seem especially unwise.

At least if you hose clamp braided -6 line to the hardline it's visually apparent exactly what has been done.

Yes.

You can buy one of the many types of adapters for this, or you can stuff that money in your pocket and put a hose clamp on it. Mine's been hose clamped for almost 4 years and driven all over north america.

It always boggles my mind that no one can figure this out. Not to be a jerk, but people seriously make an AN fuel system - or at least parts of it - and get stumped putting a hose onto a tube? I mean, its a hose. And a piece of hardline. Is there any OTHER way to put them together? The fancy earls/russels/whatever adapter is just a hose clamp that is mostly covered so it looks cool
