How to confirm my 6ports are working?

OK, so, just a couple of quick questions here.
I want to verify that my 6ports are working. I can't seem to move them by hand, I'll try a pair of pliers or something, but I'll be careful not to bend anything

If the car is stationary and in neutral, and I exercise the throttle up above 3800, should they open?

Any other good ways of checking?

if you cant move them by hand then they wont work at all. you need to lubricate them and probably need to pull the LIM off to do it.

revving in neutral won't work, they only open when under load. If it is an S4, try the grease method, but that won't work if it is an S5, since the S5 actuators push out instead of pullling in.

If you can't move them by hand, they don't even have the *potential* to work - you can actuate one of the actuators by blowing into the intake tube. They're low pressure units, and if you can't move them easily by hand, there's no way a few PSI of pressure will open them.

S4 or S5? I happen to have a set of both series actuators laying around looking for homes.

Before buying actuators, find out if the 6 port sleeves will even move. It's more likely they are carbon locked, than both actuators going bad.

Its an S5. OK, so I managed to find some fitting to hook up, and they seem to actuate quite smoothly with the pressure my lungs can generate. And I'm pretty sure that my air pump is hooked up correctly (after replacing that broken bracket a couple of weeks ago). I just hope I didn't put my 6ports in backwards!

OK, so, any way to check if they are going under load / while I'm on the road?
Also, where the heck do I find the solenoid valve for them? I ought to check that out too....

just listen. there is a definite difference in the tone of the exhaust note when they open. it gets fuller, more open and just a bit louder.

But what does the 6port look like? Is it by the throttle body?
