how to check your coils

a friend of mine's FC might have bad coils how do you check them to find out if there bad.

you mean leading/trailing? if so then the leading is prolly fine, the car would rin like *** if they were bad, but with a dmm they should be 1-2 ohms i thing, trailing are harder search for test coils and if you find nothing hit the fsm availiyuble in the faq page.

I just tested my leading coilpack. The actual coil portion I think needs to be 7-8 ohms or something (check the FSM). To test the ignitor portion of the coilpack you need a special tool, so you will have to take it to a shop.
