How to check compression?
People appear to be saying that one of the surest tests for engine condition is whether it's running at a good compression. Well, on this 86 RX-7 that I'm considering buying for a project car, how and with what do I check the compression and what should the compression be?

I think stock is 9.4 : 1 and minimum is 6.0 : 1 with a difference of no more than 1.5 between sides. It's been awhile since I have looked up the N/A info so someone correct me if I'm wrong. Of course Mazda has all of the correct info at the dealer when they do the check. You get a printout with the readings and weather they pass or not.
