How can I test Pressure Sensor?

Stock boost gauge doesn't go as high as it used to... I'd like to find out if it's the sensor because I'm installing boost and a/f ratio gauges this week with a MP and FCD.

You can easily test it IF you have a way to provide a constant known pressure. The manual says to apply something like 300 or 400mmHg and check the outcoming voltage (from the connector)
If you think that it is seriously malfuctioning, then you can use the ol' DIY ghetto method: put the hose in your mouth, blow (approximately 0,2bar or 140mmHg or 3psi) and check the voltage (you'll have to find the pressure/voltage table from one the rx7 reference sites). It should read something like 3,2-3,3 volts (i think...)

yeah like the Ace said, i think that at 0mmHg it should read b/t 2.5-3.5 or 3.5-4.5 (forget exactly) and then as mmHg increased, voltage decreases. i use a vacuum pump to test it

mines an NA but my pressure sensor code comes on so ive been trying to get rid of it.

the output of it all checks out compared to the haynes reference but the code wont go away

Thanks, but I think what I'll do is install the gauges b4 I put the MP on and see what it reads then and go from there.
