How can i tell if OMP is working?

I just bought an '87 N/A base, with 129k miles on chasis, 70k on engine. The entire car is an excellent condition, so OMP probably still works. Either way, i havnt used premix yet, so i'd like to be sure and check if the OMP works. Thanks

NOPE WRONG answer!!! lol u can stil have full oil pressure and have it not working!!!,

chances are its probably working , if its an s4 and u can see the lines, while wathcing the lines have a freind , rev the motor up to like 3K and you should hold the OMP linkage full open and see if u can see the oil move in the lines,

i noticed if i let the car sit most of it wold drain out, then when i started it and didthis i watched the oil move back up the lines!

Dammit! I really wasn't sure but I thought I would take an educated guess. The things you learn everyday on this forum... It is amazing. Thanks for correcting me.
