A T3 GT35R should be able to get you there. An A-spec T4 GT35R will as well and give you more room to grow.

Most efficient, least lag and ideal for your power goals, GT35R all the way.

I thought the same, but only problem with the 60-1 (T04B) is that you're near the end of it's efficiency range, and you'd have to run close to 20 psi, with the 35R, you'd be a little lower in boost, and mid-high 70's efficiency. And response in a BB is going to be much better.

A-Spec offers it in T3, and in terms of response, I think an .84 A/R divided would likely be best, I wouldn't suggest going any smaller. The .84 A/R does sacrifice some flow in higher boost, but for 400whp, it would be ideal.

Now, that aside, make sure you do your homework on supporting mods (fuel, engine management, etc) before you even start to think bigger turbo.

I think he already has supporting mods, 720/1600 and a microtech

werd. Get 'er done. And another one to look at if you're looking to save a bit of coin, is the A-Spec GT3574. It's the compressor off a 35R, but it's non-ballbearing (so considerably cheaper) and uses a slightly larger turbine wheel, so you have only a bit less response then the ball-bearing version. I'd hit it.

there is a nipple on the rear iron on top. i think normally it goes to the bac. you can use that or use the stock turbo spot which is the passage through the lim

I believe the GT3574 is a T4. In all honesty though, a T4 setup would be better I think. It will give you more room to grow, and I bet you will get used to 400 whp and want more. It happens.

You may want to wait till Sean releases the next version of the 3574. It will be a BB unit from what I've been told. Dunno what the pricing would look like though. I believe he will be making it available soon though.

I'm in the process of building my own makeshift 3574, I'm using an HKS T04E 57 trim turbo with 74mm O-Trim turbine, .84 A/R Internally gated, and putting on a 0.60 A/R compressor cover with the 82mm 35R compressor wheel. For dirt cheap too, found a used Precision Turbo off flea-bay for $300 shipped.

Anyways, I assume the mani you've got right now is for T3, since that's what you were talking about, so the GT3574 wouldn't really jive, but any T3 35R would work for you, as long as it has a ~0.82 or larger A/R.

Just get your turbo from ATP, they have the turbos in stock and are an authorized Garrett dealer

I still think the T04Z is a bit overkill for what he wants, and that the 35R's would be better suited for his power goals, and give better spool.
