How big to port wastegate!!!

I have a 10th ANN turbo with a high flow intake, upgraded TID, Full straight pipe exhaust (no emmisions), and all emissions equipment removed.

I boost creep like crazy, so now im going to port the wastegate. If i port it out as far as i can go while utilizing the stock wastegate flapper, will i be able to run boost safely?? I dont want to have to worry about detonation, i haven't even taken my car to WOT since the mods because ive been afraid.

So will i be able to run stock boost levels if i port that far?

I don't think so. Even if you've got a 2.5" exhaust.

While you've got it all apart just max it out and get a machine shop to weld up a new flap. Surely worth the few extra bux.

Or just find an S5 setup to swap, but that's a couple/few hundred. You get a much improved hot side this way though.

btw, that's smart keeping your foot out of it until you can control boost better.

I'd recommending upgrading to the s5 turbo and mani. The hole and flapper in the wastegate are big enough, but if u ever wanna just get it rebuilt and have BNR do one of there hybrids. Those turbos are nice for medium hp cars w/ good streetability.

The s5 wg is still too small and boost creep still happens.
