Everybody wants more power but how much do you need?

I'd estimate that there are only a few people on these boards that are actually satisfied with the power their N/A has.

I honestly dont want a TII. Sounds stupid, but this is my first rotary, and 2nd vehicle ive owned (first was a 97 stang GT... sooo glad to get rid of that.)
Im not all that interested in going super super fast. Ive rode in the car im purchasing, and honestly, its fast enough for my pleasure, but I would be interested in a little bit more... which I guess Im at a porting job now. The S-AFC has yet to be tuned, but thats only an additional ~10~ HP... but with that, in addition to true duals, in addition to getting rid of all the emmissions, in addition to a port....... it adds up, and I think that would put me where I want.
I have yet to find a good S5 N/A in my area, I wanted one with a good exterior and interiror... this has that. The fender problem is really just some paint chipping off from hitting a branch and it flying up or something.......
You keep talking about getting a porting job, which means a rebuild of sorts. You would be much better off finding a car in good shape that has a blown (or nearly blown) engine. You will obviously pay much less, and you could then get your engine rebuilt and ported, with the difference in money.

I want this car so bad, its not even funny. I do love the color, everything about it, except for the interior
I just dont like blue interiors... but ah well, itll do
Thanks again,
Jonathan.

3k is a good offer for that car. I bought my T2 for only 3500, thats with a pretty nice clean T2 with new clutch and lines. But that price is hideous.. for a S4 engine, you're missing hp right there. but then again, it's your money.
Get away!
Like they all said, you are getting taken for a ride, in a bad way.
If you're gonna bother with an S5 make sure it has an S5 motor, otherwise save yourself some serious money and get an S4.

the seller is going to be a lucky guy thats for sure. Since youre going to get the car no matter what, make sure he knows everything that we've said about it so you can talk him down at least a thousand: Motor(s4 weakness)/avg TII prices/what weve paid for our fc's/etc.

He knows its only 7K... it's actually a member on this forum, but I dont know if I should say who it is....
Ive found a complete gauge cluster from a GXL Auto, so the redline and buzzer will be at 7K...
He knows more about rotaries then I do, so I know its been taken care of (knows about all the stuff, you know what i mean) He's had it since october...
Well, I dont WANT to pay 4500, thats why I started this thread, so I know how much to lower it down to.
I doubt I could get him down to 3000, but Ill try
And trust me guys, there are like NO good FC's around here, S4 or S5, and I really don't want a S4. I understand that Im not getting the extra whole 15 HP from the S5 motor, but this isnt going to be a race car
Sure I want to port it, but I mean, an extra 15-30 HP total will be plenty. The S-AFC has yet to be tuned, all emmissions will be gone, exaust will be replaced with RB header, and true duals.... dont know what kind of mufflers yet... or pre-silencers... i dont know, i need to start researching exaust systems.
