Just need.... you to search. There are probably over a hundred threads - beside the glaring example in the FSM. C'mon man, you have 335 posts, you aren't exactly a n00b anymore.

With the engine fully warmed up, check VOLTAGE at the Green/red wire. It should read exactly 1.000 volts. If not, turn the screw until it reads 1.000v. Snap the throttle a few times, recheck, readjust until it consistently reads 1.000v at idle, fully warm.

Search for more details.

That writeup is fine, but I'd change one thing. Over time, wires and connectors age. Ideally, I like to go to the ECU to check voltages, but I know some people are scared of pulling the carpet back a little and backprobing the ECU. The best reading (not at the ecu) can be obtained by checking voltage at the green/red wire. 1 volt (on the nose) is what you're looking for. 1k ohm will work, but like I said, if there are other resistances in the circuit (like 20+ year-old wiring will have) you won't get the most accurate reading. This is why whenever possible, check voltages, not resistances. Sadly, the FSM was pretty much written for resistance values

^ good point. I guess when they were writing up the manuals they didn't figure people would still be in love with these cars 25+ years later ha ha

I use voltage to set the TPS and resistance to check and see if it's still in spec.

What are you expecting to happen by turning the screw? Did you ever set it to 1 volt or did you rather just turn it and expect for the best.

You're sure that you are turning this screw?

And check that the brown wire is getting 5v, and the black wire is properly grounded.

When you're checking the voltage for 1.0v, how are you doing so? Where exactly are you putting the leads?
