How to adjust Apexi BOV so it doesn't leak?

I put on an Apexi Twin Chamber blowoff valve on my T2. And it has an adjustment screw on the top to set the hardness of the spring inside. How hard should I make it?....is there a way to test if its LEAKING boost or is NOT releasing all the BOOST when it suppose to?

Apex says to loosen the spring until the idle starts to drop and leave it right at the point where it's unaffected.
