There is a bolt on my friends exhaust... that son of a bitch is on so tight, we put WD40 on it and liquid wrench as well.. then we put one of those wrenches on it (i forget the name of it but you can screw this thing on the end of it that tightens the grip) so tight, that the teeth on the wrench made indents on the bolt, then i pounded the end with a deadblow hammer and the bolt just stripped... its acting like its welded on or something, its an exhaust bolt..

Got oxyacetylene torch? First try to heat it, then remove. Then, say **** it and melt the end off. You can also do this with a dremel/heavyduty cutoff wheel, a side angle grinder, die grinder, or die grinder/cutoff tool/wheel combo. You'll still have to get the stud that the nut went onto out, and then use a longer bolt and nut to replace them both.

Just go to the local hardware store and buy a MAPP gas torch, it will be less than $30 and you will be able to get lots of bolts off that you thought were gonna need to be cut.

If you have sprayed it with WD 40- DO NOT APPLY FLAME TO IT.

Jeeze guys, you trying to get his car caught on fire!!!

Clean it off very well first if you do.

try pb blaster, wd40 and liquid wrench suck from my experience, then get a crescent wrench, put it on there, then put a cheater bar on that, and make sure you are turning it the right way

Thx for the reply kevin, its for emission purposes and we dont have emissions here and we completely remove the stock manifold, so we might just use an angle grinder and remove it. Thanks all for the replies, sounds like the MAPP torch would be usefull in the future

pb balster is the best stuff i have used yet. helped me take off a few really ruste exhaust manifolds. spray it on give a few minutes and try again . also try if the bolt your trying to get out looks like the one in the pics someone posted. a line wrench might be better to try .. less stripage

GTUfan-you must not be old enough to remember the nasty car-exhaust smog smell all over the place in the early 70's then
