Hot start issue
Hey all
Just wanna make sure I'm thinking right here.
87 T2
Driving to work this morning I go into the bank for a few minutes to do some banking, come back out and she won't start.
Cranks just fine, but no love.
I waited 5 minutes and still nothing, so a pushed it back, and (thank God) on a slight angle was able to push start it. Light cars for the win!!!!
Now I'm thinking because I didn't shut off the Fuel pump with my spiffy fuel cut off switch when I ran in it flooded... but I'm not sure if a push start will overcome a flooded condition... wouldn't think so... but I really don't know.
Or is there something else broken?
So at home starts great, driven for 15 minutes to normal temps, stopped for 3-5 minutes, when tried to start wouldn't Cranks strong but no go, pushed start no problem and ran the rest of the way to work like a champ.
Any thoughts?

sounds like a minor flooding issue to me.
Since yo have a fuel cut switch installed, try flipping it off BEFORE you turn off the key, just to starve the injectors a bit. Then when you go to re-start, crank the car for a second before flipping the switch on. See what you get.
For the record though it could be a number of other things, but try that method and see if it works.
