hot no start
i did a quick search in the archives and the faq and i cant find anything on no starts...(hot anyway)
i'm sure this issue has been covered before, but i'm gonna lay it out anyways...
...
this happens more frequently in hot temperatures, and after i get home from driving and attempt to leave again. the engine cranks but does not fire... the rpms lay dead. after some time, (or if it happens while i'm at....say, wal-mart, when i have the hood up for a while), when i turn it over the rpm's will bounce and it will fire.
...says to me...
1. not fuel related.
2. electrical.
3. ignition related.
a link to the proper thread where this has already been covered or help from some of you 7 guru's out there would be greatly appreciated, i need to leave

Have you checked your compression recently? Difficulty starting when hot could be a sign of low compression, which leads to a rebuild. There are probably other things that can cause it, I just don't know them off the top of my head.
Check your compression.

ok so im confused on what your saying. After it heats up. you turn the car off, and when its still hot it will not restart?then after you let it sit and it cools down, it will start? from your last post that seems like whats going on bt now it will not start at all? have you tried to check codes?

seems like you dont think its fuel, i would still test for pressure. But you think its ignition. Not trying to be an *** but why do you think its ignition. SOmething to do with the electrical circuit and heat? just wondering..you could probably borrow a timing light from autozone and check if you have spark. Pull the spark plugs they usually tell a story. hope you get it running
