can i keep airbox and make a TID to work?
I have a 10th AE, and would like to keep it as stock looking as possible just for the sake of being sleeper. I have already modified the inside of the air box and it seems to have helped a little. But, my factory TID has a large rip in the bottom of it. Is there anyway to make an aftermarket TID that would work in its location? I was thinking 3" pipe, but the angles are so freaking tight in there with the airbox in place. Any ideas? Thanks

you guys are right. So, today, i removed all that stock crap, and did a custom TID with a 3" 30 degree pipe and open filter. I will soon build an airbox around it to keep the IATs down, but DAMN! the car picked up so much power! Im running a 60-1 and i never realized it would be so choked! With this intake the car pulls soooo hard on boost, and it even gained a few PSI, not to mention it spools much quicker. Im so glad i did the TID. My idle still bounces though...but not nearly as much.
