I have set up how you want yours to be. It's pretty easy with a pipe fitting to screw onto the gage and the hose on the other side of the fitting. I've had a couple problems with mine kinking, but I just had to cut a bigger hole in the pillar to runt he hose straighter. It shouldn't be much of a problem.

i was wondering if i could just screw on the first adapter they send you and then push a vaccum hose over it w/a clamp. it just didn't seem sturdy enough to me and it didn't make a good connection. I think this way will work better.what do you think

Don't use that POS line that comes with the gauge, it sucks. Go to Home Depot, and get the correct adapter for the back of the gauge to attach a vac line.

how about you get rid of that gauge all together. their boost gauges aren't very calibrated. My friend used to works at a Precision Equipment Measuring Laboratory (PMEL) and we found that gauge to be as much 3 lbs off sometimes. under vacumm and up to 7 psi it was ok, but after that, we found severe discrepencies. Try an SPI gauge. I think PF supercars still sells them, but you can also get one from a airlpane parts catalogue, such as spruce.
