hoping i can fix this radiator piece.

I got this radiator used hoping it would work and i found that it was leaking underneath the radiator cap tower. took it off and found the plastic around where the o ring sits is broken apart. so i jb welded it back on. Anyone who knows about radiators think my jb weld will work? it supposed to be able to resist heat up to 500 degrees.

It broke in half and broke off flush with the rad. figured jb weld was the best idea.

Just be sure you prepped it extremely well and followed all directions, including letting it cure for a full 24 hours. Other than that, it should be fine for a little bit. The permanent solution would be either take it to a radiator shop and have them replace the end tank or bite the bullet and purchase a new radiator.

im guna give it a shot tomorro see what happens after a drive to work then take for a 30 minute highway test. If it overheats Im going to shave off that hole plastic piece around and make nice and smooth then cut out a gasket and see how that works. Ive seen alot of radiators that have that type of gasket setup there instead of this o ring style and they worked fine. not sure what will happen but I'm always down to find a good fix instead of paying for another part.
