Hooked up MSD 6A - lack of power now...

I hooked up a MSD 6A, and now my car has little to no power. It starts, but sounds boggy. Any ideas?

Probably either not working, or your timing is way off

I had no issues with hooking up the Jacobs FC1000 to my S4 GXL, but a few weeks later my room mate got the Mallory unit for his '85 Celica and it retarded his timing by 15-20degrees until he redid the installation. I don't remember what it was he did wrong, though, but i'll ask when he gets home.

OK, talked to him earlier but didn't have the chance to post. Apparently on his unit the two wires that would connect to the coil were wired wrong in the unit itself...in other words, they were backwards from what they should have been.
