hood question

Lightbulb hood question

the stuff that is attachted to the underside of the hood on my rx7 is all messed and sagging down and looks horrible. is it ok to tear this crap off or will the heat from the motor mess up my paint?

u can pull it off but u may want to put somthing up there to replace it... u coud also use spray inheasive is hold the old stuff up

I think you are talking ADhesive spray, but I don't see why you can't just take the stuff off and leave it. The only thing wrong is that your engine will make a much more prominant sound, being that stuff is there as a sound deadener

the paint will tend to fade much faster (especially on a S5 or Turbo) without the under hood insulation

me i used truck bed liner that spray can **** omg works dreams
i also spray my wheel wheels
im talking about the stuff at walmart or vip auto zone ect that looks like its spary paint...

And that stuff is non flammable and stable to 250F???
