is the hood on an NA rx7 a low pressure area?
what you could do that nobody on this post has thought of yet is pull the air from the underside of the car. I have seen pics in some domestic car web sites where they actually reverse the scoop underneath the car so that it pulls air in, kind of the opposite of forced induction.
I can't see any real negatives to the scoop on the upper right. Whether it's "ram air" or not is kinda irrelevant to me. I think it'll flow air better and colder, like I said before, and will be a bit different and potentially cool. Might start something this weekend, but I've gotta change a warped brake rotor first.
