Home made intake

Hello guys
I have been wanting to make my own intake lately, and I am wondering what my best options are.
I have a very limited budget, so I am wondering if I can somehow make my own.
I read somewhere on here that somewhere bought parts from hope depot, and a filter from an autoparts store to make their own intake.
Is this possible? Or do I need to just buy a new intake.
Any help is appreciated.

Its very possible, I made my intake from stuff from home depot for under 10 bucks. Do a search and you'll find everything you need to know.

r u using any parts form the old intake? if so u should be able to make ur own air intake. but most people i know dont use the stock intake. they do what u did, go down a lows or home depot to make there intake the size they want.

just make sure u keep it sealed u dont want any leaks to form in fort of the MAF sensor

I have been searching all day, but I can't find a thread that really helps that much.
I just want to add the intake now, and I will put a box around it later.
Any pointers?
