hmmm 240sx????
OK there is like a 97 or so 240sx running his mouth around that he can beat me and such Well when i first met this guy he was kinda of a dick to me. Blabbing his mouth about my car is rotary and it isnt a engine and all this bs. I got tired of his crap so i ask him to race me but he says my car is in the pro drag up in the strips and it wouldnt be unfair. I was like ok then whatever so i hear bout month later that he can whoop me in a race so i get pissed i confront his *** tell him to race me and well i think he got lil scared or somethign cuz he didnt talk back but stutter. I will race him eventually.....his mods are intake, full exhaust and 75shot of nos. I have an 87na mild streetport, full exhaust, ported intake manifold and TB, intake filter, and Perf. clutch and some weight reduction. His redline is only 6k so do you guys think i shoudl take him on a freeway run cuz i heard they run out of steam top end so i dont think his nos will have a effect on me that much. Some input would be appreciated

I got dibs on Marlon's 7...ridden in her many times...although now that I have my header...I'l like to run him again too.
And he doesn't know his car his ported...but I agree that it is...it "makes power" key on the makes power...all the way to 8k...motor internals have never been touched since hes had it.

I think the 240sx has ya but not by much. Even the s14's are lighter than the fcs. The s14's have some torque (ka24de). If i was him i wouldn't talk that big unless i did the rb25det or sr20det swap.

I am not sure what the newer 240's are like. But I know the older ones (89-94) are total CRAP up top, they have no guts when out on highway. They are good off the line though, but my dad has one and I have driven it lots and it is slow as hell once above 120-130km/h (about 70mph I think that converts to). So if the newer ones are the same I say race him on the highway and let him spray to pull even with you.

they're a 2.4 liter 4 cyl. nice low-end torque but its missing up top. i'd say he's pushing anywhere between 150-160rwhp if he has a very healthy engine, and that's w/o nos. (my bro owns a 240 and i use to drive it everyday.)
240's arent all that light theyre about 2800 lbs. almost as close as us. i'd say race him.

Friend just raced him
well alright my friend has a eclipse gst he raced the 240 and I was told he sprayed every time he shifted and the eclipse won by like 5car lenghts from a dead stop well I raced the eclipse before and i lost by half a car and i was at about 80 when we shut down so im thinking i can take this guy down......But the thing is it better to race him from a go or dead stop? The eclipse was an auto too and still took the 240 off the line but i heard having a auto for launch on a turbo is much better cuz you can build boost up but i dont know if thats true....cuz i was suprise when i barely took off faster than him from the start.

well, from my point of view..the S14 is going to jump u on 1st and maybe 2nd cos the low end power is better than our 7s, i own both..but with ur mod and his compare i'll put money on ur side..240 is good but not that good!! just my .02

I must say some of the people on that forum did not know what they were talking about. Saying how the NA 13b is nothin special and would not admit owning one if they did. Stock for stock the FC will stay even off the line with a 240 and beat the 240 silly at top end. That is assuming both are equally skilled drivers. Oh well......I must say I also like 240's so I guess I cannot dis them too much. But the FC is better by far.

Take your car to a track and see what you run. I mean its possible for your car to run anywhere from a 15 flat to a 17.5. Its really hard to say and we have no clue how bad(or good) of a driver you are. My friend ran a 15.5 or something in a twin turbo 300zx with an intake(everyone else could get a low 14 or 14 flat).
I looked up the newer 240s and it said they run a 16.1 stock. Now with his mods I wouldn't be surprised if he couldn't dip into the 14s(again, depending what kind of driver he is). How about you guys just race and get it over with. If you lose, you lose. Then you know you need to get a bottle too Its not life or death.

Ted's right, with the bottle he'll get you. My friend can keep up with me through 3rd, and part of 4th with his bone stock s14. Once I hit about 5 grand in fourth, he's in the mirror.

Arg, after reading the post about n/a 13B being nothing special, I hope you kick his ***. However if I were you, I would start praying to my God.....maybe a sacrafice of domestic autos would do the trick:P
