HKS Turbo Timer question

So I thought this was a little odd... Tell me if any of you have had this problem or know how to fix it.

I bought my car with a pre-installed HKS Turbo Timer(Type 1). The install was done professionaly by TKO Auto (www.TKOAUTO.net) so I assume it was wired correctly. To date, it has no failed me.

Well, to yesterday's date anyway. A friend of mine, and by friend I mean my own stupid ***, left his running lights on the night before and had to get a jump start. After a little spirited drive on Hwy 9, the battery was charged up and the car starts fine now.

However, on the drive, I noticed my turbo timer wasn't turned on, and after fiddling with the face buttons, I left it alone. I figured maybe it would turn on the next time I drove the car...

Nope.

So I took a look at the mangled English instructions, but they didn't help much, and now I turn to you guys. I checked the battery terminals, I played with the face buttons, what could possibly be wrong? I didn't disturb any wiring when I jumped the car, and I'm at a total loss as to why my turbo timer doesn't turn on. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Fill me in thanks!

-Steve

I had exactly the same thing happen to my Levoc TT. After a jump start it was completely dead. I figured I'd fried it so I pulled it out. I had a look inside and it looked fine. I reinstalled it and it worked perfectly! Bizzare...

Jump starts done incorrectly (I/E jumping the dead battery with both jumper leads rather than grounding to the cars engine) can smoke aftermarket electronics pretty easy.

But in most cases re-setting the unit (by unplugging it for several minutes) or replacing a bad/blown fuse fixes the problem.
