HKS SSQV + TMIC, whose using it?

Hey guys

With my TII engine/tranny I got a bunch of turbo goodies, including a HKS SSQV (real) BOV. If anyone else is using one with the stock top mount, how did you plumb it? All I've seen were a few pictures of people having flanges welded to the inlet pipe of the TMIC.

Pics would be nice, feel free to PM me if you have any info, or pics, or both.

Thanks,
James

I am, I bought it used and it was made for the WRX, so I made a matching flange, used a 2" tube, for the turbo-IC pipe, drilled a hole in it, used 3/4" tube so air could flow into the BOV, and Welded it all up. I'll get a pic...

im running one also.. my piping looks a little ghetto right now or id post pics.. I had a T70 on my car so the piping fit nice onto the top mount. now i put the stock turbo back on and the piping didnt fit all that great so i had to force it.. but the BOV came with a flange when i bought it.. i just welded it onto a straight pipe and there you have it.

Here you are, you can just get the normal steel bung and weld it on, or get aluminum and aluminum tube and call it a day.

The welds are pretty **** poor on mine but they don't leak, so I don't care.

Hey all.

Thanks for the quick replies. NismoConvert, thanks for posting the pictures, too.

That cleared it up for me pretty well.

Much thanks,
James
