HKS SSQV Inserts?

I just bought an fc (again) ths time an 88 T2, I am in the market for a bov, I used to own a DSM ad tried the Turbo XS RFL for while, afte a while it got boring, too much whoosh, no little whistle, I am not 100% sure but sort of set on the HKS SSQV. I wanna hear your comments about it.

My real question is, Ive heard that there are inserts for the ssqv, where can I find them and what are they for? Thanks/

I think they just offer different sounds. I myself like the sound of the regular insert or no insert, not sure how it works exactly.

Yeah, but even touhg Im etting it for the sound, Im also getting it fo performance, and from what I hear the best of the best is hks ssqv, Ive read that its physically impossible for it to leak.

It is by the way the piston is. But what mods do you have that would make you even think the type s would leak under pressure.

Not much right now, but I like to think that I have the possibility to upgrade to big mods in the future.

Just out of curiosity, was that an FC that sounded like that in the clip? If its for sure going to sound like that then forget it, Ill get the type s, but I doubt that it was.

It was not an fc, but all type-s BOV sound the same. Also the Type-s has a antileak feature that makes it almost impossible to leak . It has another nipple so you could put another vac/pressure line to, so it equalizes the pressure. Therefore if your boosting 10 psi there is also gunna be 10 psi of pressure forcing the piston down ontop of the spring.

It has a high pitched whistle sound to it and at higher boost levels, the sound changes slightly.

I like the way that sounded, what brand of exhaust are you using, also what other mods have to used?

My car has the CorkSport Catback and downpipe combo, with the stock cat, other than that and a K&N filter for the intake the car is pretty much stock.
