Question HKS SSQ BOV any good for FC?

I have heard that the Super Sequential Blow Off Valve by HKS is no good for the FC as well as other cars with a MAF sensor. "This is because when the valve releases pressure in the intake, the MAF flap slaps shut causing the car to bog down" this is what ive heard...any truth in this?

What BOV's do you guys use?

I use the HKS SSQV, I have never had any problems with leaking or bogging. I vent it to the air so the only real side effect I have is some fire out the exhaust

If you install a BOV and keep the MAF, your car will run richer cause less air gets burned into the engine than it should. May loose some power....
I have a Turbosmart on my car with the MAF installed. I don't really mind. The car sounds good.

I have the Type I, check my sig.
Before I install the intake, it was only the sneezing sound. After that, if I boost hard and let of the throttle before 6000rpm it does another strange noise too. Like water boiling or so. I like it....

i got the HKS bov... ive only driven with it for like a week but its alright. Its kind of a weak sounding BOV... sounds like somthing that belongs on a honda. I dont know it just doesn't really go that well with my racing beat exhaust(sexy sound) and then the lil (tsh). Ive noticed that it also flutters a bit but then again I've only been running it at 8psi so it could sound much better at higher boost. The only reason i got the HKS is cuz i got a good deal on it and I couldn't pass it up but in the near future I plan on getting a turbo XS.

good luck

^ The hks is supposed to be one of the louder, sharper sounding ones. If you want really loud get the turbo xs RFL (really ******* loud). Maybe you need to adjust the screw on the back of the bov.

the hks ssq-v is pretty nice. I do not own one but my friend has one of those srt4's with 460hp and the hks ssq-v. He's boosting 22 psi and it sounds awesome, one of the best bov's I've ever heard. Sounds awsome under high boost. I hate those srt's , never thought neon could be so fast.

Apex'i Twin Chamber here. Much flames out the back. I stall sometimes when i put it in neutral after a WOT run because of the rich condition...

It's not because of any rich condition. Open-vented BOV's only cause rich condition when they vent, and it's only very brief. If you're stalling at idle it's more likely to be because the idle vac is opening the BOV (vac leak = idle too lean), and you need to adjust it slightly. That's if it even is the BOV causing this...
