HKS PFC f-con 10 psi

I just bought a rx7 TII and I have them with a hks pfc f-con.I have just posed a fmic as well as Walbro pump.I have the intention to climb my boost to 10 psi.My wastegate is ported. I want only to know if my engine will blow. Excuse for my English, I come from Quebec and I do not speak English.

Certainly when you increase the power output of your engine you decrease the life of the it. However stock TurboII's if not abused are fine with the boost upgrade. Many people install the FCD and RB exhaust sytem on stock motors. I would consider 10psi a safe amount on a good stock engine. Beside the factory turbo does not go much further than that. Have fun with it..

you've never seen the HKS one?

don't set it on cut, that basically un-installs the FCD

When you start running the stock turbo at higher boost levels it really becomes inefficient. Atleast you have a FMIC. The top mount sucks in comparison.

Check some of the places that do compressor upgrades or see if someone on here has a stock s5 turbo w/ a upgraded compressor wheel theyd sell ya for a good price. Youd make a lot more power than you would just cranking up the stock one.

I ran 10psi on a stock fuel system, other than the hks unit set on 9. for over a year without any issues at all.

I was always told 10-12 psi was a good number to stay with. When I pulled out my exhaust inserts and ran down the road I can hit 14-15psi so the inserts went back in. Now my car has larger injectors, ported waste gate, is S5 and was told has a remapped ECU but I am not sure.

10 is fine, just make sure to add a boost guage as the stock one sucks. I would say get a EGT guage and a boost controller also to help.
